You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

The Senior Demand Planner is a pivotal role responsible for managing the planning of production to ensure procurement of materials and goods essential to the company’s operations. This role aligns purchasing decisions with production schedules, inventory requirements, and organizational goals to ensure seamless operations and supply chain efficiency. A strategic thinker with a keen eye for cost control, quality, and timely delivery, the Planner ensures that materials are available to meet production demands while avoiding overstocking or shortages.

By analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and internal demand forecasts, the Planner optimizes material flow, supports manufacturing processes, and minimizes disruptions. This role directly contributes to the company’s operational success, customer satisfaction, and competitive edge in the market.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Collaborating with production teams, supply chain and sales to understand data from demand forecasting and plan production requirements.
  • Analyzing and assessing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Creating and maintaining production schedules, considering lead times, production capacities and resource constraints.
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Review and analyze demand forecasting data to plan production schedules with our sales and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand capacity, resource availability and production capacity to create accurate schedules.
  • Coordinate with purchasing teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed, to meet changing demands.
  • Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on production performance and inventory metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, production technologies and best practices in production planning.

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management, and procurement of electromechanical parts and assemblies.
  • New Product introduction procurement experience.
  • Strong understanding of bills of materials (BOM) and their role in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ownership of the purchasing process with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, technology tools, and computer skills.
  • Experience building a sequel database MRP.
  • Experience in procurement and planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with exceptional follow-through and a strong focus on team success.

 

Preferred Experience 

  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or related certifications.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management best practices.
  • Knowledge of production forecasting, capacity planning, and production cost control.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
