Vice President of Quality Assurance (SDET)-Product Engineering

What will you be responsible for? 
As the Vice President of Quality Assurance (SDET), you will be responsible for defining and leading the overall test engineering strategy across AppViewX’s product portfolio. You’ll build and scale a world-class QA organization that champions automation-first practices, drives product reliability, and ensures secure, high-quality releases at velocity. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to embed quality at every stage of the SDLC.

This role requires deep technical expertise in SDET frameworks, strong understanding of cybersecurity domains (IAM, PKI, CLM), and the ability to lead distributed QA teams in an Agile environment.

  • Lead and scale the Global QA function with a focus on automation, test strategy, and continuous quality
  • Define and enforce quality engineering standards, processes, and tools across multiple product lines
  • Own end-to-end testing including functional, performance, security, integration, and regression testing
  • Implement robust automation frameworks to ensure consistent, scalable, and repeatable test coverage
  • Build a shift-left QA culture, tightly integrated into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Security to align on test coverage and release readiness
  • Establish KPIs and metrics around quality, reliability, and test efficiency to drive improvements
  • Ensure products meet the highest standards of security and compliance relevant to IAM, PKI, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing team of QA engineers and SDETs across regions
  • Contribute to the broader engineering strategy and innovation roadmap.

What do we require? 

  • BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven success in building and managing large, distributed QA/SDET teams in a product-based environment
  • Deep hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, REST Assured, JMeter, Cypress)
  • Strong experience with cloud-native QA strategies for SaaS platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Prior work in the Cybersecurity domain, especially in IAM, PKI, CLM, or Application Security is a must.
  • Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/SAFe) delivery models, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
  • Track record of building quality into every step of the development lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

What do we desire?

  • Exposure to Gen AI or Agentic AI test automation experience is Plus. 
  • Experience in securing software testing practices against emerging vulnerabilities and threats
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards relevant to cybersecurity
  • A passion for engineering excellence, with an eye for detail and quality
