Marketing Director, Shelby Platform

US/Global (Remote)

Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way.

Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. We believe the open-source Diem technology we have developed is an important foundation of a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries.

Aptos (Ohlone for "The People") encompasses our mission and ethos for why we build.

As Marketing Director, you will own the strategic vision, operational execution, and team growth for all marketing functions supporting Shelby. You will be a senior leader contributing to broader company direction, driving demand, awareness, and adoption of the platform, and building a scalable marketing machine. You’ll partner across product, engineering, BD/partnerships, community, and executive leadership to deliver high-impact programs that move key metrics.

You must be comfortable in ambiguity, roll up your sleeves, and also think several quarters ahead.

  • Drive PR, earned media, and analyst coverage to position Shelby as a leading decentralized storage solution.
  • Own the storytelling around complex technical features, translating them into compelling narratives for target personas.

  • Manage vendor relationships and budgets, ensuring ROI and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Align marketing OKRs with company goals and own quarterly deliverables, forecasts, and reporting.

Metrics & Accountability

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the funnel (awareness, acquisition, activation, retention, conversion).
  • Establish dashboards, reporting cadence, and data governance to ensure marketing decisions are grounded in metrics.
  • Own budget allocation, forecasting, and impact measurement for marketing investments.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
