Social Media Manager (Future Society)

We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to own and evolve our organic social presence across platforms. In this role, you’ll be the day-to-day voice of the brand, responsible for commissioning and shaping content, engaging our community, and driving brand awareness, cultural relevance, and organic growth.

This role reports to the VP of Brand Marketing and works closely with Influencer Marketing, Creative, PR, and Operations. The ideal candidate should bring bold, disruptive ideas that will shake up the fragrance industry, a strong creative eye, excellent editorial judgment, and a passion for building community through thoughtful, distinctive social storytelling.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Organic Social Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a holistic organic social strategy across current and emerging platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) that differentiates Future Society as a bold trailblazer in fragrance.
  • Own platform-specific content calendars aligned with brand priorities, launches, and the broader marketing roadmap
  • Concept, plan, and execute social-first campaigns, product launches, and seasonal moments
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all social touchpoints

Community Management

  • Actively manage and engage our social community by responding to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags in a timely, authentic way
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound social inquiries, escalating to Customer Service, Marketing, or PR as needed
  • Foster meaningful two-way conversations that strengthen loyalty and advocacy

Content Development & Creative Collaboration

  • Identify ongoing and campaign-specific content needs (evergreen, launch, editorial, UGC, trend-led)
  • Collaborate closely with Creative and Marketing teams to plan and execute photo and video shoots
  • Brief and commission content from internal teams and external creators as needed
  • Edit and adapt content across formats and platforms; occasionally create lightweight content to fill calendar gaps

TikTok Shop

  • Manage the merchandising and promotion of TikTok Shop in partnership with Operations
  • Develop and maintain a TikTok Shop content and promotion calendar with clear KPIs
  • Track and report on performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion and engagement

Collaborations & Creators

  • Partner with the Influencer Marketing Manager to plan creator-led social campaigns, develop briefs, and select creators
  • Collaborate with PR and Marketing on brand partnerships, giveaways, and collaborative moments
  • Analyze UGC and creator performance in partnership with the Influencer team

Analytics & Strategic Input

  • Track and analyze organic and boosted content performance across core KPIs (reach, engagement, traffic, conversion)
  • Deliver monthly performance reports highlighting insights, trends, competitive context, and recommendations
  • Stay up to date on platform updates, algorithm changes, and cultural trends; proactively test new formats and tactics
  • Propose new social initiatives tied to major launches, seasonal moments, or cultural opportunities

 

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management and content creation (consumer, beauty, lifestyle brands preferred)
  • Proven track record growing organic social audiences, engagement, and brand impact
  • Strong creative instincts with an exceptional eye for visuals, storytelling, and platform-native content (art, photography, or creative background a plus)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with social and analytics tools (e.g., Archive, Dash Social, Google Analytics, Canva, CapCut)
  • Comfortable owning social channels end-to-end, including occasional off-hours or weekend monitoring
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial, curious, and excited to test, learn, and iterate in a fast-moving environment
  • Photography and video editing skills are a plus

The full compensation package is based on candidate experience. 

Pay Range

$85,000 - $100,000 USD
