Community Manager (Social Media)

Onsite

At Arcaea, we're reimagining haircare through the lens of biotechnology. By combining cutting-edge science with thoughtful design, we create high-performance products that make healthy, beautiful hair feel effortless. We're a fast-growing, founder-led team that values curiosity, creativity, and craftsmanship.

We're looking for a thoughtful, highly organized Community Manager who understands that every interaction with our audience shapes how people experience the brand.

This role is ideal for someone with exceptional judgment, strong writing skills, and a genuine love of engaging with people online. You'll be responsible for managing our day-to-day community across social channels, creating authentic social-first content, supporting influencer initiatives, and helping us build one of the most thoughtful, engaging communities in beauty.

Because you'll help represent a high-profile founder and celebrity-backed brand, we're looking for someone who knows when to respond, when not to respond, and how to navigate nuanced situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

Community management is a daily responsibility, and our audience doesn't operate on a Monday–Friday schedule. This role includes monitoring our social channels on weekends to ensure timely awareness of conversations, comments, DMs, and emerging issues. While not every message requires a response outside business hours, you'll be expected to exercise sound judgment, proactively flag urgent or sensitive matters to the team, and help ensure our community feels consistently supported.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Community Management

  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments and direct messages across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms.
  • Foster a warm, engaging, and premium brand experience through thoughtful community interactions.
  • Partner closely with Customer Experience to ensure timely and seamless responses to customer questions and concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to surprise and delight community members through authentic engagement.
  • Monitor brand mentions, creator content, and cultural conversations to identify emerging trends, feedback, and opportunities.
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining when conversations should be engaged with, escalated, or left unanswered.
  • Escalate sensitive issues—including legal concerns, safety issues, viral misinformation, media inquiries, or potential crises—to the appropriate team.
  • Maintain community standards by removing spam or inappropriate content.
  • Report on community sentiment and recurring themes to inform marketing, product, and customer experience.

Social Content

  • Publish and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Capture social-first content using an iPhone, including behind-the-scenes moments, office culture, product development, and day-in-the-life content.
  • Edit Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikToks optimized for each platform.
  • Stay on top of emerging platform features, trends, and opportunities.
  • Occasionally appear on camera when appropriate.

Influencer & Creator Support

  • Coordinate influencer gifting and product mailers.
  • Support campaign logistics and product fulfillment.
  • Help organize influencer inventory and shipping.
  • Track creator content and identify opportunities for engagement or amplification.

Social Operations

  • Tag products, collaborators, and creators across social platforms.
  • Maintain publishing calendars and organize creative assets.
  • Support cross-functional marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Help ensure content is published accurately and on schedule.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 2–5 years of experience in community management, social media, content creation, or a related role.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong sense of brand voice.
  • Excellent judgment and emotional intelligence.
  • Naturally empathetic with the ability to navigate a wide range of consumer interactions thoughtfully.
  • Strong understanding of community moderation best practices.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and internet culture.
  • Comfortable filming and editing short-form video using an iPhone and tools like CapCut.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Passionate about beauty, fashion, culture, and consumer brands.
  • Experience working with founder-led or celebrity brands (Preferred).
  • Experience using community management or social scheduling platforms (Preferred).
  • Background supporting influencer or creator partnerships (Preferred).

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
