Head of Quality Assurance

We are looking for a Software Test lead for our Quality Assurance team. The team is responsible for ensuring the quality of critical qualitative trading system tools and related components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop end-to-end functional and integration test scenarios to validate business functionality and system requirements
  • Provide technical leadership in test plan creation, test case development, and execution for complex distributed systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality metrics for release measurement
  • Innovate and optimize QA processes by introducing new tools, methodologies, and automation frameworks
  • Actively participate in all release cycles including scope planning, test effort estimation, execution, and release sign-off
  • Drive productivity through robust test automation strategies and tools
  • Mentor and manage a team of QA engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • A solid educational background from IIT/IIIT/NIT, preferably with a degree in Computer Science, a GPA of 8.0 or above, and at least 8 years of experience in testing web applications and web services
  • Prior experience working in a tech/product-based company
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage QA teams of 10 or more engineers
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, test planning, and team leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, .NET, or C++) and familiarity with UNIX environments; scripting skills in Python or Perl are a plus
  • Experience testing client-server and distributed systems is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with the financial domain or prior experience testing applications in this domain is an added advantage
