The Fine Print” – What You’ll Do  

The intern will be part of a team working on the development of a platform Formulation Buffer for lentiviral vector. The intern would be responsible for: 

  • Assist in design and creation of study protocol, contributing to the development of a formulation buffer. 
  • Organize, plan, and execute laboratory experiments to support process development activities. Prepare buffers needed for the study. 
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed laboratory notebook and documentation, as well as a clean and safe laboratory environment. 
  • Conduct literature searches to identified potential excipients to test and acquire an overall knowledge on the formulation of biologics, stability of a product, and the role of temperature, pH and chemicals on product aggregation/degradation. 
  • Summarize and present data in group meetings and contribute to group discussions. 

Skills and Experience We Look For  

  • Currently enrolled in college, pursuing a degree with a major in Biological or Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or other biology-related discipline. 
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, academic or industrial, is highly preferred 
  • Good understanding of basic lab techniques and safety, and proficient in aseptic technique. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication skills, a positive and adaptable attitude, and a willingness to learn and contribute effectively as a team member.
