How You’ll Make a Difference
As the manager of our R&D lab operations, you’ll play a critical role in optimizing our lab, ensuring we are able to advance our pipeline, hit our company milestones, and positively impact patients with our therapy.
The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do
Laboratory Operations & Safety Management
- Plan, develop, organize, and implement policies, procedures, and training for lab operations to ensure that the efficiency, effectiveness, safety, environmental and quality control of the laboratory comply with all regulations and standards.
- Lead business enabling activities such as laboratory compliance programs, training, safety, environmental, and facilities optimization programs.
- Initiate and maintain training documents for equipment, hazardous waste management, and laboratory safety.
- Perform regular safety and environmental compliance assessments to ensure laboratory personnel are operating in a safe and compliant manner.
Equipment Management & Maintenance
- Perform regular preventive activities on laboratory equipment in GLP-like environment, manage equipment moves and space utilization, as well as coordinating emerging equipment and technology demonstrations
- Coordinate equipment services.
- Maintain and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance and verifications.
- Maintain equipment database information.
Procurement & Asset Management
- Manage lab equipment purchasing and purchasing of laboratory supplies and reagents, working with cross-functional groups to reconcile orders, invoices, and receipt confirmations.
- Work to identify and communicate CapEx and OpEx Budget forecasts, and assist with fixed asset forecasting.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Facility Management
- Collaborate with Research, Product Development/Tech Ops, EH&S, Quality, and Facilities to build and maintain a functional R&D facility.
- Work closely with Facilities department to optimize equipment maintenance schedules, coordinate with vendors to ensure rapid equipment repairs, equipment induction process, and utilization of electronic asset management system.
- Supervise, coordinate and perform facilities support work.
Skills and Experience We Look For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in biotechnology industry.
- Previous industry work experience in drug development, preferable cell therapy.
- Experience in laboratory operations and management, including equipment services.
- Experience training personnel in lab safety and best practices (GLP), and notebook documentation.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
