How You’ll Make a Difference
As an intern, your mission is to develop assays and strategies to support product manufacture and next generation characterization for polyfunctionality of T cells within Arcellx’s Analytical Development group. This role will have a tremendous impact on our pipeline and ability to characterize the modified T cells as novel and effective drugs for patients. Our potentially life-saving treatments would not exist without the work of our talented scientists.
The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do
- Commit to 6-10 weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
- Professional and personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops and panel discussions.
- Final presentations of projects along with other interns at the conclusion of the program.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists to develop and perform next generation characterization platform for all existing programs.
- Learn and perform cell-based functional assays, including flow-cytometry based and live cell imaging methods to complete a project over the course of the program under the supervision of manager.
- Process and analyze data using FlowJo, Live-cell imaging software, and other relevant analytical tools and keep accurate and complete lab documentation and electronic files.
- Independently execute experiments while maintaining a collaborative and safe laboratory environment.
- Participate in team meetings, present findings, and contribute to discussions on assay improvement and troubleshooting.
Skills And Experience We Look For
- Currently enrolled in university, pursing an undergraduate or graduate degree in life sciences (e.g. cell/molecular/cancer biology, genetics, immunology, biological engineering or related disciplines).
- Proficiency in cell culture of diverse mammalian cell types.
- Direct experience in performing cell-based assay development.
- Familiarity with immunology and methodology of immune cell analysis.
- The ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize work activities and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Effective writing and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in multi-color panels, intracellular staining and surface marker analysis.
- Experience with FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, or other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of T cell biology, cytokine profiling, and immune response assays.
- Prior experience in biopharma, biotech, or academic immunology research labs.
