Senior Principal Solution Architect, Client and Partner Development

Arcesium is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design and deliver complex technical solutions for a portfolio of Strategic Accounts — large financial institutions with sophisticated infrastructure, demanding integration requirements, and high expectations for technical rigor. This is a deeply technical role focused on translating business requirements into scalable platform architectures, driving project delivery, and building PoCs and integration blueprints that unlock the full value of Arcesium’s capabilities. You will be accountable for solution quality, project outcomes, and technical excellence across your assigned accounts, working in close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful delivery.

What you’ll do:

• Define project scope and success criteria. Participate with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, success criteria, and technical acceptance criteria for projects prioritized by the client. Translate ambiguous requirements into precise, structured project briefs with measurable outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Apply deep understanding of Arcesium’s technical and functional capabilities to design solutions that address client workflows and operational pain points. Leverage standard platform capabilities where possible and engage Product and Engineering teams to propose enhancements where gaps exist.
• Lead and deliver technical projects. Serve as the primary SA on one or two major client projects and secondary SA on additional concurrent engagements. Own project success end-to-end — including milestone tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and ensuring delivery timelines are met with high quality.
• Present solutions to technical and business stakeholders. Communicate solutions in various forms — verbal walkthroughs, formal documentation, architecture illustrations — adapted to the audience. Provide effective project updates to senior stakeholders internally and at the client, ensuring shared understanding of technical decisions and delivery progress.
• Guide stakeholders on how to accelerate value through Arcesium. Advise client technology stakeholders on the best ways to leverage Arcesium’s platform capabilities to achieve their strategic goals. Run structured discovery sessions to understand workflows and technical constraints and translate these into solution architectures and integration blueprints with clear value framing.
• Own project risk identification and escalation. Continuously identify, assess, and manage risks related to solution design and project delivery. Serve as the technical escalation point of contact alongside the PMO for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional internal teams (Engineering, Ops, Product) to drive timely resolution of blockers and technical issues.
• Rally stakeholders and design effective project plans. Align internal and client stakeholders toward shared technical goals throughout the project lifecycle. Design project plans that sequence delivery to realise client value early, engage additional SAs or specialist teams as needed, and maintain a clear view of dependencies and trade-offs.
• Champion process improvement and best practices. Actively contributes to improving how solution architecture is practiced within CS3 — proposing and implementing process improvements, championing asynchronous written communication for project updates, and helping establish quality standards that raise the bar across the team.

 CORE TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Platform integration architecture. Design and validate end-to-end integration architectures connecting Arcesium’s platform with client systems — including order management, portfolio accounting, risk, and reporting infrastructure common in large asset managers, hedge funds, and global custodians.
• API and data product design. Define canonical data contracts, API interaction models, and ETL pipeline patterns that ensure reliability, observability, and scalability across high-volume financial data environments.
• Proof of concept and prototyping. Rapidly build working prototypes and PoCs — using Python and relevant tooling — to validate approaches, unblock architectural decisions, and demonstrate Arcesium’s platform capabilities in context of a client’s specific use case.
• Cross-functional internal coordination. Act as the internal technical voice for assigned projects — translating client requirements into precise, actionable briefs for Product, Engineering, and Operations. Engage these teams proactively throughout the project lifecycle to unblock delivery and ensure solution quality.
• Technical best practices and tooling. Contribute to group-wide technical standards — suggesting ways to reduce delivery cost, improve integration patterns, and increase efficiency across implementation projects. Use insights from active projects to continuously raise the bar on solution quality and architectural rigor.

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 10–15 years’ experience
• Experience working with or within large financial institutions — banks, asset managers, hedge funds, or prime brokers
• Hands-on proficiency in Python; strong grasp of APIs, distributed systems, and ETL pipelines
• Proven track record delivering complex technical projects in a client-facing SA or solutions engineering capacity
• Confidence presenting to C-suite and senior technology leadership
• Strong written communication — solution documents, business cases, architecture decks
• Self-motivated, independent thinker who thrives in a collaborative, distributed team environment
• Familiarity with financial data domains — portfolio accounting, trade data, risk, and reporting
• Understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance context
• Experience with DevOps practices and cloud-native architecture patterns
• Programme management or delivery governance experience
