We're hiring an Account Manager to own our customer relationships end to end. You'll be the reason customers stay, send more work, and tell other founders about us — the human who makes the Arceus experience feel as fast and transparent as the product promises.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeing incredible demand for our solutions. The market is open and the window is short. The category will be defined in the next 12 to 18 months, and we intend to win it.

This is a rare chance to:

  • Own the customer relationship at a company defining a brand-new category
  • Build the account management function from the ground up and shape how we serve customers for years

  • Sit at the center of the business, where customer trust is won or lost

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You're the person customers trust. You're organized, responsive, and genuinely care that the people you work with succeed. You read a relationship well — you know when to push, when to listen, and when to just get something fixed fast. You move quickly, follow through without being chased, and you treat customer experience as something to protect.

You're comfortable being the first call when something goes wrong, and the reason it doesn't go wrong twice. You like turning a good first impression into a long relationship, and you spot the opening for more before the customer asks.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • First 30 Days: You own the customer relationships, every active account knows you, and onboarding for new customers runs smoothly through you.
  • Months 3–6: Accounts are healthy and growing, retention is strong, and you've built repeatable playbooks for onboarding and account management that others can follow.
  • Year 1: Customers see Arceus as their default legal partner, expansion is a real and measurable revenue driver, and the account management function runs on systems you built.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own every customer relationship from signup onward, making sure each one experiences faster turnaround, transparent pricing, and a process that feels lighter than what they had before.
  • Run onboarding for every new customer — account setup, intake instructions, contact routing — and get them sending work quickly.
  • Track contract volume, turnaround SLA, and satisfaction per account, and act on what the numbers tell you.
  • Surface and drive expansion opportunities: new contract types, more business units, more of the company's legal work.
  • Be the first call when something goes wrong, and the reason it doesn't go wrong twice.
  • Carry the customer voice back into the product and the attorney workflow.
  • Build the playbooks and systems that let account management scale cleanly as we grow.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years in account management, customer success, or a client-facing role, ideally at a startup or high-growth company
  • Track record of retaining and growing accounts, and turning customers into long-term partners
  • Strong organizational instincts and follow-through — you don't drop balls and you don't need to be chased
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and real comfort being the face of the company to customers
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving, high-ownership environment
  • Bonus: experience selling or supporting technical, legal, or B2B SaaS products, or working with founders as customers

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,000 – $140,000
  • A top-of-market equity stake in the company
