Sr. Buyer

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced, commodity-oriented, and results-driven Senior Buyer to join our Purchasing team in a fast-paced, evolving aerospace environment. The Senior Buyer will manage work with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely, cost-effective material availability that supports our aggressive production schedule and milestones.
What you’ll do:
- Manage all purchasing/ordering activities on targeted programs and/or categories of the aircraft, including but not limited to the creation and management of all flows to and from Archer Supply base (Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, Returns, Subcontract PO), on-time, on-quality and in alignment with Archer sourcing strategy.
- Responsible for the management and accuracy of his/her Open Purchase Order book, and proactive identification and mitigation of risks of delays.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of short, medium term goals for the Purchasing team, aiming to promote effectiveness, efficiency, data accuracy, and best practices.
- Achieve or exceed Purchasing performance matrixes, including but not limited to on-time PO placement, on-time PO delivery and material availability.
- Participate and manage key supplier relationships.
- Participate in Purchasing SOP creation and refinement.
- Work on ad hoc procurement/engineering projects as needed.
- Work with cross functional teams to understand key milestones and key deliverables.
- Act as the subject matter expert of Archer ERP system and Purchasing best practices.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Supply Chain and/or 6+ years of relevant experience/education
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment
- Experienced and proficient user of SAP ERP or equivalent
- Experienced with NPI & production purchasing environments
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and strong team player
- Proficient in MS Office Suite & Google Workspace
- Effective communicator
Bonus Qualifications:
- APICS certification
- Aerospace and/or Automotive experience a plus
- Project management knowledge a plus

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $101760 - $127200. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
