What You’ll Do

The Audit Manager is responsible for leading audit and assurance engagements for a diverse client portfolio while ensuring exceptional service, technical accuracy, and compliance with professional standards. This role oversees engagement teams, serves as a trusted advisor to clients, and provides leadership in managing risk, resolving complex accounting matters, and developing team talent. The Audit Manager also contributes to business growth initiatives and helps drive the overall success of the assurance practice. 

  • Manage multiple audit, review, and assurance engagements simultaneously from planning through completion.  
  • Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and deliverables to ensure quality and efficiency.  
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, disclosures, and engagement documentation for accuracy and compliance.  
  • Apply technical expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and, when applicable, SEC and PCAOB requirements.  
  • Research and resolve complex accounting, auditing, and reporting matters.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client management and maintain strong client relationships.  
  • Provide clients with insights regarding financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational risks.  
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and senior associates through coaching, feedback, and performance development.  
  • Conduct detailed quality control reviews to ensure adherence to firm policies, professional standards, and engagement objectives.  
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance engagement effectiveness and efficiency.  
  • Support business development initiatives through networking, client relationship management, proposal participation, and identification of new service opportunities.  
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to support practice growth and strategic objectives. 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 
  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline preferred. 
  • Active and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive public accounting, audit, or assurance experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex assurance engagements and managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Prior supervisory, team leadership, or project management experience required. 
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and applicable auditing standards. 
  • Familiarity with SEC and PCAOB regulations and reporting requirements is preferred. 
  • Proficiency with audit software, accounting research tools, and engagement management platforms. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical accounting and auditing issues. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. 
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development abilities. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines. 
  • Exceptional client service skills with a commitment to building and maintaining trusted client relationships.

Compensation Range

$105,000 - $130,000 USD
