Music Therapist/Volunteer Coordinator
At Arc Hospice & Palliative Care, we are united by a mission to bring comfort, dignity, and compassionate support to every patient and family we serve. Join a team where your work has purpose and your growth is supported.
This role supports our Hand in Hand hospice program, a part of Arc Hospice & Palliative Care family, and is dedicated to compassionate, community-rooted end-of-life care. The Music Therapist / Volunteer Coordinator plays a unique dual role in enriching the emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial experience of our patients and families. This full-time position combines clinical music therapy services with leadership of the volunteer program, ensuring personalized support through both direct therapeutic engagement and the compassionate presence of trained volunteers.
As Music Therapist, you will provide individualized, culturally responsive music therapy interventions across home, facility, and inpatient settings, aligned with the interdisciplinary plan of care. Your work will support symptom management, legacy work, and emotional healing at end of life through voice, instruments, and intentional presence.
As Volunteer Coordinator, you will recruit, train, and support hospice volunteers across roles — including patient companionship, caregiver respite, bereavement, and administrative assistance. You’ll ensure volunteer activities meet regulatory standards and reflect the values of dignity, connection, and service. This includes maintaining compliance with Medicare’s 5% volunteer service requirement and contributing to interdisciplinary care planning.
