Superintendent/General Foreman
ABOUT YOU
PureGrid Electrical is looking for an experienced Superintendent / General Foreman who is a strong field leader, highly safety-focused, and obsessed with execution in the field. You are a hands-on leader who knows how to run crews, manage daily job site logistics, and turn blueprints into clean, high-quality industrial installations.
You excel at managing site labor, coordinating with trade partners, and staying ahead of material and equipment needs so your crews never miss a beat. If you are a collaborative leader who prioritizes job site safety, mechanical accuracy, and meeting strict schedule milestones, and you want to lead complex, medium-to-heavy industrial electrical scopes nationwide, you’ll fit right in.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Field Leadership & Crew Oversight: Direct day-to-day field operations on job sites, managing foremen, journeymen, and apprentices to ensure work is installed safely, accurately, and strictly on schedule.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce PureGrid Electrical safety standards, lead daily safety huddles, conduct site hazard assessments, and maintain strict adherence to OSHA and local codes
- Site Coordination: Serve as the primary on-site liaison with general contractors, owners, and other trade superintendents. Manage daily site logistics, laydown areas, and equipment access.
- Look-Ahead Scheduling & Production: Develop 2-week and 3-week look-ahead schedules, ensuring proper labor allocation, equipment setup, and material staging to maintain momentum.
- Material & Equipment Staging: Work directly with the Project Manager and APM to verify on-site material deliveries, inspect major equipment (switchgear, transformers) upon arrival, and track tool inventory.
- Quality & Technical Control: Ensure work aligns with engineering drawings and project specifications. Identify field issues early, communicate drawing discrepancies, and request RFIs through the PM team.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Field Superintendent, General Foreman, or Senior Foreman overseeing field operations on commercial or industrial electrical construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: Journeyman or Master Electrician license required. Deep technical expertise in medium-to-heavy industrial electrical installations, major equipment power distribution, and blueprint reading.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 certification required. First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Comfortable using job site technology; experience reviewing plans, tracking daily logs, and referencing submittals using tools like Procore and Excel.
- Leadership & Communication: Outstanding team leadership skills, strong conflict resolution ability, and a clear, direct communication style with both site crews and project managers.
- Location & Travel: Ability to travel extensively and relocate/be stationed on nationwide job sites as project phases require.
