A DAY IN THE LIFE

Executive Project Ownership: Lead overall financial, operational, and safety success for large-scale, complex industrial electrical projects, maintaining full P&L accountability from preconstruction through final closeout.

Strategic Client & Partner Leadership: Serve as the primary senior executive contact for owners, general contractors, engineering firms, and key stakeholders, driving client retention and securing high-value repeat business.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project administrative staff, fostering high standards of execution and supporting professional career growth.

Advanced Financial Management: Manage overall project profitability, cash flow forecasting, risk mitigation, major subcontracts, high-stakes change order negotiations, and monthly billing approvals.

High-Level Procurement & Vendor Strategy: Oversee procurement strategy for critical long-lead power distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers), mitigating supply chain risk through strategic vendor negotiations.

Field & Operational Alignment: Partner closely with Field Operations Managers and General Superintendents to optimize labor allocation, resolve high-level field bottlenecks, and ensure uncompromised safety and quality standards.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 8–12+ years of progressive project management leadership within the electrical subcontracting industry, with a proven track record managing large-scale industrial or heavy commercial electrical scopes ($5M–$20M+).

Technical Expertise: Deep technical mastery of industrial electrical distribution systems, power systems, medium/high voltage equipment, NEC compliance, and complex single-line drawings.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; Master Electrician license or equivalent extensive trade leadership experience highly valued.

Software & Business Acumen: Advanced proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project), and financial/cost-control platforms.

Skills & Leadership Approach: Strong business acumen, executive-level communication skills, high-level negotiation ability, and a decisive, solutions-oriented leadership style.

Travel & Location: Ability to travel as needed to oversee strategic job sites across the country during critical project milestones.
