Tax & Compliance Associate

New Delhi

About the Role

We are seeking a Tax & Compliance Associate to join our New Delhi office. This role combines tax and accounting expertise with a strong focus on compliance, licensure, and regulatory oversight. You will work closely with the accounting team and cross-functional partners to ensure U.S. financial accuracy and compliance, while also contributing to analytics, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Tax & Accounting Support

  • Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting in collaboration with the accounting team.

  • Support U.S. financial operations, particularly taxation and audit coordination.

  • Collaborate with external auditors (Big 8 exposure preferred) during statutory reviews and audits.

  • Work with tools such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), NetSuite, Rippling, Ramp, Stripe, and other accounting/HR systems.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. taxation requirements (federal, state, and local), coordinating with internal and external teams.

  • Manage and monitor statutory compliance and business licensure applications/renewals.

  • Partner with legal counsel and attorneys to stay ahead of regulatory requirements.

  • Track and implement changes in compliance obligations as the company scales.

Analytics & Strategy

  • Build and maintain financial and operational models to support decision-making.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key KPIs and trends.

  • Use SQL, analytics, and BI tools to extract insights and improve financial visibility.

  • Provide support for investor updates, board reporting, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, accounting, or compliance (U.S. or multinational exposure preferred).

  • Strong familiarity with U.S. taxation, statutory compliance, and licensure requirements.

  • Experience working with Big 8 auditors or similar top-tier audit firms.

  • Hands-on experience with QBO, NetSuite, Rippling, Ramp.

  • Exposure to SQL, analytics, or BI tools (preferred but not required).

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive in ensuring compliance and efficiency.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Location

  • Based in New Delhi.

  • Required to be in office at least 3 days per week (hybrid model).
