About the Role

We are hiring a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities. This is an entry- to early-career role suited for someone with a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals who is eager to learn, take ownership of routine tasks, and grow with the team.

 

What You’ll Do

• General Ledger & Journal Entries — Record day-to-day journal entries (JEs) and maintain the general ledger (GL) in the company’s ERP
• Month-End & Year-End Close — Assist with timely and accurate close activities, ensuring books are reconciled and reported on schedule
• Account Reconciliations — Prepare reconciliations for bank, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP), investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Invoice Processing & Vendor Coordination — Support end-to-end invoice processing, expense tracking, and day-to-day vendor coordination
• Expense Budget Tracking — Track and maintain expense budgets; monitor actuals vs. budget, flag variances, and support periodic budget reviews
• Audit & Tax Support — Help prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and reconciliations for statutory audits and tax filings
• Documentation & Records — Maintain accounting records, working papers, and documentation in a clean, organized, and audit-ready manner
• Ad-Hoc Reporting — Support the senior team with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and data requests as they arise
• Systems & Tools — Learn and work with the company’s accounting software / ERP, contributing to process improvements where possible

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Pursuing US CPA with at least one section cleared — mandatory
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Understanding of ERP usage (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and ability to work confidently within an accounting system
• Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) for productivity, analysis, and workflow automation
• Comfortable with Excel and willingness to learn new tools
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Team player with clear communication skills

 

Location Requirements

• Location: Gurgaon, Haryana (Hybrid — 3 days in office)
• Work Timings: 1:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST (aligned with US business hours)
