The Role:

Arine is expanding its AI-driven automation and intelligence to scale clinical impact, improve medication adherence, and optimize interventions at scale. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions that enhance clinician efficiency and patient outcomes.

This role goes beyond building ML models - you will develop and integrate AI-driven automation, insights, and recommendations into real-world clinical workflows. You will work with large-scale healthcare data, leverage prebuilt LLMs, and build custom predictive models, and collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and clinicians to deliver high-impact AI solutions.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Develop AI-powered automation and intelligence: design and deploy AI solutions that enhance clinician efficiency, optimize interventions, and scale personalized medication management
  • Leverage LLMs and predictive models: integrate both prebuilt LLMs and custom machine learning models to generate insights, automate routine workflows, and improve decision-making
  • Ship AI-powered products: work closely with product and engineering teams to build scalable, production-ready AI features that seamlessly integrate into clinical workflows
  • Optimize AI-driven interventions: improve task prioritization, patient outreach, and adherence interventions through data-driven intelligence
  • Collaborate across teams: partner with ML engineers, data scientists, clinicians, and product managers to align AI development with business and clinical needs
  • Own technical execution: establish best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and iteration, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and continuous learning

Who You Are:

  • AI/ML Engineer with a strong product mindset: you have 5+ years of experience developing and shipping AI-driven applications, with hands-on experience integrating LLMs and predictive models into real-world products
  • Strong software engineering skills: you write clean, scalable Python code and are comfortable working with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Proven experience with AI-driven automation: you’ve built and deployed LLMs, NLP models, or predictive systems to power automation, intelligent recommendations, or workflow optimization
  • Comfortable with modern NLP techniques: you have experience with few-shot prompting, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or text-based ML models and can evaluate trade-offs between different approaches
  • Data-driven and pragmatic: you balance ML complexity with real-world usability
  • Collaborative and mission-driven: you thrive in cross-functional environments, working with clinicians, engineers, and product teams to turn AI into meaningful, real-world solutions
  • Autonomous and product-focused: you take initiative, explore real-world data, and proactively identify opportunities to apply AI in scalable, impactful ways
  • Passionate about improving healthcare: you’re excited about building AI that enhances patient outcomes

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning and AI engineering
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, AI-driven recommendations, or intelligent automation
  • Experience working with LLMs
  • Strong experience with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and AWS ML services
  • Experience integrating ML models into production systems
  • Strong data intuition – you explore, analyze, and validate insights before deploying models
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package (including bonus and equity), benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $180,000-200,000/year.

Information Security Roles and Responsibilities:

All staff at Arine are expected to be part of its Information Security Management Program and undergo periodic training on Information Security Awareness and HIPAA guidelines.
