The Role:

We are seeking a Manager of Reporting to lead our efforts in delivering actionable insights that drive healthcare performance and optimize clinical outcomes. This role is critical in building compelling analytics products that inform strategic decisions, improve client performance, and help clinical teams optimize their efforts in managing high-risk patients through medication therapy and quality improvement initiatives. By leveraging data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced statistical modeling, this role will help guide healthcare clients, including Medicare Advantage plans, to achieve better outcomes, improve quality scores, and ensure compliance with critical healthcare measures.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of deep healthcare analytics expertise and the ability to deliver insights that have a tangible impact on clinical and operational strategies. This includes developing data products that provide clear, actionable insights into client performance, identifying areas for optimization, and collaborating with clinical teams to refine strategies that improve patient care. As part of a dynamic, cross-functional team, this individual will also be responsible for ensuring the integration of analytics into clinical workflows, empowering teams to act on data to achieve better health outcomes. 

This role requires an individual who can blend strategic thinking with technical expertise, leveraging data to tell compelling stories and inform decisions at both the clinical and operational levels. It is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for healthcare analytics, a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions, and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.

This manager will lead a team of analytics engineers and BI developers supporting 2 core functional areas: Analytics Engineering and BI Development.

What You Bring:

  • MBA or Masters Degree in math, computer science, epidemiology, healthcare administration or other related field
  • 6+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, health economics or health services research
  • 3+ years of relevant management experience
  • Domain expertise in healthcare data (administrative claims, enrollment, coding, etc.)
  • Understanding of HIPAA
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • SQL + at least one other programming language (preferably Python) 
  • AWS
  • Statistical modeling, forecasting, predictive modeling
  • Reporting, metrics development, data visualization, business intelligence development
  • Technical documentation
  • JIRA

What You'll be Doing:

Execution - Overseeing Reporting Operations

  • Manage and guide the overall delivery of high quality analytic deliverables for two core functional areas: Analytics Engineering and BI Development
  • With guidance from the Director of Data Services, execute on the Reporting roadmap to ensure the team hits its high level objective of delivering high quality and compelling analytics products on time
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and optimize team performance
  • Identify and address any blockers or resource constraints that may impact project timelines

People Management

  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members to provide guidance, support, and performance feedback
  • Set clear goals and objectives with each direct report, aligning individual contributions with overall team and organizational goals
  • Review and evaluate team performance semi-annually, providing constructive feedback and recognition
  • Lead discussions on career development, training needs, and potential growth opportunities for team members

Strategy - Forward Planning

  • Collaborate with the Director of Data Services to forecast resource needs based on the project roadmap, ongoing initiatives, and anticipated workload
  • Maintain a comprehensive roadmap document detailing planned analytics projects, tech debt, and ad hoc work to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the analytics team, aligning them with organizational objectives to measure success and areas for improvement

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Operations, Product, and Client Success, to gather insights and align analytics strategies
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of data-driven insights that support decision-making

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the analytics team by encouraging experimentation and the adoption of new methods and best practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the team’s capabilities and overall effectiveness
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and processes that improve analytics efficiency and effectiveness

Data Governance

  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices, maintaining data integrity and security across all analytics efforts
  • Develop and maintain documentation for analytics methodologies, processes, and standards to promote knowledge sharing and consistency within the team

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package (including bonus and equity), benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $170,000-190,000/year.

Information Security Roles and Responsibilities:

All staff at Arine are expected to be part of its Information Security Management Program and undergo periodic training on Information Security Awareness and HIPAA guidelines.
