Arine is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Test Automation Engineer to join our team. This person will be responsible for defining, architecting, and implementing our next-generation test automation framework, heavily leveraging AI tools to enhance test creation, stability, and maintenance. This role involves setting the technical direction for automation, mentoring the QA team, and ensuring the highest quality standards for applications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the Automation Strategy: Architect, design, and implement a robust, scalable, and maintainable automation framework using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and modern testing frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin).
  • AI Integration & Innovation: Drive the research, adoption, and integration of AI/ML tools (e.g., self-healing locators, visual testing platforms, GenAI for test data/case generation) to dramatically improve test efficiency and coverage.
  • Framework Mastery & Tooling Guidance: Serve as the subject matter expert on current industry automation frameworks and tools. You will be responsible for evaluating new technologies and making strategic tooling recommendations to optimize testing processes and infrastructure.
  • Framework Governance & Maintenance: Own the quality, performance, and maintenance of the core automation codebase, including implementing coding standards and conducting code reviews for test automation scripts.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior and mid-level QA Engineers on automation best practices, advanced automation techniques, and framework usage.
  • Strategic CI/CD Integration: Determine the optimal placement and execution strategy for automated test suites within the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline (Jenkins, CodePipeline) to ensure appropriate gatekeeping, fast feedback loops, and support continuous delivery.
  • Collaboration & Planning: Partner with Development, DevOps, and Product teams to define strategic automation roadmaps, non-functional testing goals (performance, load), and technical solutions.
  • Test Management: Define and ensure best practices for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting within Jira, maintaining clear traceability from requirements to automated tests.

Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with 3+ years in a Lead Automation or SDET role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming is mandatory for building automation solutions.
  • Deep expertise with Selenium WebDriver and architecting complex, data-driven, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience incorporating AI/ML tools or techniques to enhance test automation (e.g., self-healing, visual AI, AI-assisted optimization).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and configuration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Expertise in BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin) for clear and collaborative test development.
  • Experience with testing in a cloud environment (AWS)
  • Advanced SQL skills for data validation/backend testing and experience with tools like Snowflake or cloud data warehouses is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with healthcare data (such as claims, member, or provider datasets) is preferred.

Remote Work Requirements:

  • An established private work area that ensures information privacy
  • A stable high-speed internet connection for remote work
  • This role is remote, but you will be required to come to on-site meetings multiple times per year. This may be in the interview process, onboarding, and team meetings

The posted range represents the expected base salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The base salary range for this position is: $145,000-160,000/year.

Information Security Roles and Responsibilities:

All staff at Arine are expected to be part of its Information Security Management Program and undergo periodic training on Information Security Awareness and HIPAA guidelines.
