We are seeking an accomplished AI Lead to spearhead our efforts in cutting-edge AI technologies and solutions. This role will collaborate in shaping the technical strategy, delivering innovative GenAI-driven solutions for our customers, and mentoring our always growing AI team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, leadership skills, and a passion for advancing the capabilities of Generative AI across industries.

What You’ll Do:
Act as an AI lead, guiding the AI technical direction and mentoring team members.
Build an AI roadmap to transform internal processes and services provided to customers
Lead technical discovery, conduct feasibility assessments, and rapidly validate assumptions via PoCs or tech spikes. 
Evaluate AI/ML tools, frameworks, and platforms continuously to implement in an AI roadmap
Identify internal workflows, services, or experiences that can be transformed through LLMs, agents, and other AI tools.
Develop and implement fast proof of concept (POCs) focused on LLM automations (prompt engineering, LLM based workflows and/or Agents for processing complex documents with legislation (either digitally native or scanned documentation, including tables, figures, etc).
Ensure quality in your delivery by following strict CI/CD practices and uphold proper integration of the AI components implemented, maintaining modularity, scalability, and reusability as focus.
Provide technical direction to ML Engineers around model fine-tuning, prompt optimization, and experiment design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Test, evaluate, and prompt engineer models to improve accuracy and performance of response systems. Define and track success metrics for AI tools and experiments (e.g., time saved, process accuracy, satisfaction, etc).
Promote responsible AI principles including transparency, fairness, and data protection
Provide support for other technical duties, e.g. performing technical interviews for other ML and AI positions or collaborating in high level designs of AI/ML solutions during pre-sales.
Stay updated with advancements in AI and generative technologies to incorporate best practices into projects.
Document processes, learnings, and outcomes to support iterative development and knowledge sharing across teams.

What We’re Looking For
Proven Senior-Level Expertise: 5+ years in AI/ML engineering or applied data science roles, with at least 1-2 years leading AI/ML projects and ML engineering/data science teams
Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Experience implementing LLM workflows (e.g. wizards integrating multiple LLMs prompt-engineered for specific requirements, or applications with multiple LLM based features that take human feedback into account) and/or Agents (autonomous LLM based agents that have multiple tools available and apply one or another based in context) using Langchain and OpenAI models
Deep understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and generative models, strong grasp of NLP and LLM architectures.
Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in AWS infrastructure. Practical experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral, etc); understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and generative workflows.
Experience developing AI solutions in Python using LLMs and building scrappy UIs using Streamlit
Excellent Prompt Engineering skills and use of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, etc)
Proven experience comparing AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI vs. Anthropic), vector DBs, and embedding models for practical integration
Ability to define the architecture and design patterns of AI-powered applications in collaboration with architects and ML engineers
Previous experience working with agile methodologies, kanban or scrumban
Experience working in multidisciplinary development teams, with multiple roles involved (frontend, backend, PM, QA)
Ability to frame AI opportunities and define short- and long-term vision for internal AI adoption across teams or functions. 
Strong ability to translate business problems and internal inefficiencies into AI-solvable use cases
Master level skills in Python and Git.
Excellent communication in English, both written and oral.
Proactivity and creativity
Familiarity with ethical AI principles (bias, fairness, transparency, safety, etc), especially relevant in internal automation tools

Nice to have:

Experience using MLOps tools like MLFlow or other platforms for monitoring performance of AI/ML solutions
Vibe coding experience in tools like v0.dev, generating baseline UIs for POCs.
Experience in any other fields of machine learning (deep learning, predictive models, recommendation engines, time series analysis, computer vision)
Experience doing live demos for customers
Experience implementing good MLOps practices
