Job Summary:
Arizona Liver Health/Arizona Clinical Trials is looking for qualified candidates for the TEMPORARY Research Phlebotomist position in Peoria.
Title: TEMPORARY -- Research Phlebotomist (Peoria, AZ)
Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full-time, 3-Month Contract (eligible for overtime and benefits)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (set schedule)
Start date: May 19th, May 27th, or June 2nd

Key Responsibilities:
- Verifying positive patient identification to ensure subject safety. Assessing subject reactions to specimen
- Performing venipuncture, capillary, and/or IV specimens from study subjects according to established protocol, maintaining aseptic technique. Obtaining additional assistance when judged
- Obtaining specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times. Ensuring completion of specimen collection functions according to protocol. Ensuring that specimens are properly labeled and suitable for
- With supervision, ensures that clinical trials are conducted according to protocol requirements
- Sample management - collection and appropriate chain of custody for all samples obtained
- Provide necessary instructions to research participants
- Completes and keeps up-to-date on role-required
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with all legal regulations.
Additional responsibilities
- Phlebotomy Skills - Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) preferred
- Technical Assessment skills
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications

Education and/or Trainings Required:
- Phlebotomy certificate required
- AS or BS degree preferred
- 3+ years’ experience with collection and processing of biomaterials
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Able to walk and stand for at least 50% of the day
- Able to sit for at least 50% of the day
- Communicate: hearing, talking, vision
- Able to type and do computer work for long periods
