
AMP Front Desk Coordinator

Title: Front Desk Coordinator
Status: Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt
Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour; depending on experience (specialty, clinic volume, front office preferred)
Essential job functions/duties

- Greet and check in patients in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
- Verify patient information (insurance, address, telephone number), and make necessary changes in the practice management system.
- Provide new patient and annual update forms to patients and review forms for completeness and accuracy of information.
- Send all imaging orders and supporting documentation to outside companies.
- Obtain prior authorizations for imaging services as needed.
- Schedule all imaging examinations for ALH, ASUI and external referrals
- Call all Chandler diagnostic imaging patients, provide location options.
- Update diagnostic imaging orders that need submission to RamSoft.
- Scan complete forms (in addition to insurance card if applicable) into radiology management system under documents>patient documents, utilizing correct naming format. **MUST BE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SEEING PATIENT**
- Determine the correct amount of co-payment or amount due for service for ALH and ASUI, and collect amounts before services are rendered.
- Provide back-up and vacation coverage for AMP Front Desk Coordinator
- Assist with checking patients in for Research appointments.
- Support visitors and facilities.
- Provide walk through assistance to outside vendors
- Data entry, report building and presentation creation

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
- Knowledge of filing and charting procedures.
- Familiar with office equipment: printer, scanner, copier, laptop
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook and Teams
- Strong time-management skills
Education/Training:
- At least one (1) years experience working in a clinic setting required
- Bilingual Spanish / English (written and spoken) required
- Degree/Certification in Medical Assisting preferred
- One (1) year of e-Clinical Works (eCW) or EHR system experience preferred
