Job Summary:
Arizona Liver Health team is searching for qualified candidates to fill the Pharmacist position in Peoria, AZ or Mesa, AZ.
Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Onsite (Peoria or Mesa)
Reports To: Director of Pharmacy
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000
Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt

- Assist with administrative responsibility of day-to-day operations as well as the business management side of the pharmacy department
- Assist with developing policies and procedures, department goals, objectives necessary for departmental success
- Encourage professional development through the means of performance evaluations with staff member to push forward learning and growth within the department
- Work with Pharmacy Technician leadership in the hiring, orientation and training process as well as development of policies and procedures for the pharmacy technician team.
- Provides essential drug information to pharmacists and other clinical based providers such as medical assistants, nurses, advanced practice providers and physicians
- Works with other members of ALH to implement pharmacy-related policies and procedures in other departments when the need arises.
Supervisory responsibilities
- 30 or less direct reports
- Timely evaluations for all direct reports
- HR compliance on hiring, disciplinary procedures, timecard processing, termination procedures, and other applicable duties as appropriate.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- Strong leadership skills required.
- Adherence to Compliance processes required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, eCW(preferred)required.
- Strong business management skills required.
- Knowledge of 340B and Hepatology preferred.
- Prior experience in an URAC and ACHC accredited pharmacy preferred.
- 797/800 experience preferred.
- Clinical Trials experience preferred.
- Prior Authorization experience preferred.
- PBM/TPA experience preferred.
- HRSA Audit experience preferred
- Contract Pharmacy contracting processes preferred.
Education, credentials, and/or trainings required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Valid and unrestricted license as a Pharmacist by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy
- 5+ years of experience as a Pharmacist
- 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacist with managerial level duties preferred
Physical demands
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Able to sit for long periods (at least 50%)
- Able to type and do computer work for long periods
Travel Requirements
- Some interoffice travel may be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement
