Position Overview
Arlo is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the government contracting industry, with a deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations, particularly in the areas of journal entries, reconciliations, and contract management. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation
- Develop SOPs and materials for usage by all teams to ensure adequate support and similar approaches for like type entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the company
- Create, reconcile, and approve assigned balance sheet accounts for business units
- Research unreconciled balances and collaborate with teams to ensure proper clearing
- Develop automation to improve accuracy and create efficiencies
- Review purchase orders for accuracy in coding
- Enter contracts into CostPoint with appropriate CLINs, labor categories, costs, points of contact and all other required contract data
- Create monthly cost pools journals
- Perform other accounting duties as requested
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 8+ years of experience in government contracting industry with understanding of FAR and CAS
- Must have experience reading and interpreting government contracts
- Expertise with Deltek CostPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
