We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Software QA Automation Engineer Intern (Unpaid) to join our front-end team. In this role, you’ll help ensure that our user interfaces are reliable, bug-free, and ready for release. You’ll work closely with UI engineers, product managers, and designers to verify features, run regression tests, and contribute to a scalable, automated QA process. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern QA workflows, UI testing, and cross-functional team collaboration.
Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Execute manual and automated UI test cases across browsers and devices
- Validate UI behavior and functionality in each release
- Assist in developing test plans and test strategies for new features
- Identify, document, and track bugs, visual defects, and regressions
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to clarify requirements and test coverage
- Use tools like Selenium, Cypress, or React Testing Library to optimize and scale testing
- Support test automation and continuous integration efforts
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)
- Familiarity with React and component-based UI frameworks
- Exposure to UI testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or similar
- Understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA best practices
- Experience with Git and version control
- Bonus: Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
