We’re looking for a proactive, empathetic, and detail-oriented Senior People Operations Generalist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key role in day-to-day people operations and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers. You’ll help build and support the employee experience from onboarding through offboarding, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, and new hire integration.
Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Core People Operations Responsibilities
- Own operational support for new hires — coordinating onboarding schedules, equipment needs, workspace setup, and Day 1 readiness.
- Facilitate onsite orientation and act as a cultural ambassador to help new employees acclimate quickly and effectively.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, perks, and wellness offerings.
- Support open enrollment, new hire benefits education, and vendor communications.
- Maintain and update employee records and HRIS systems with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate offboarding, including exit interviews, system deactivation, and final documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR policies.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate and timely employee data for compensation and benefits.
- Assist with immigration documentation, leave of absence tracking, and policy rollout as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve people programs, processes, and employee experience.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Confidently lead and support sensitive conversations around performance concerns and terminations with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
- Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters, helping to resolve conflicts and navigate challenging situations.
- Support performance management cycles, including setting goals, facilitating mid-year and annual reviews, and managing performance improvement plans.
- Drive and participate in talent discussions and calibration processes, including use of frameworks like the 9-box grid.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar role.
- Confident navigating employee relations and performance conversations with maturity and tact.
- Familiarity with performance management tools and talent development frameworks (e.g., 9-box).
- Strong understanding of HR fundamentals: onboarding, offboarding, compliance, documentation, employee lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience administering or supporting benefits and perks programs.
Compensation & Benefits
For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed below, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).

Compensation
$120,000 - $150,000 USD
