We are seeking an experienced and strategic Hardware Product Segment Leader (Director level role) to drive the design, development, and deployment of modular data center infrastructure. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and business acumen. You will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative modular data center solutions, overseeing everything from rack-level design to global logistics coordination.
The ideal candidate understands the full lifecycle of data center deployment and is comfortable navigating complex challenges across technical, operational, and organizational domains.
Location. Seattle, WA, USA (or surrounding area). Remote is up for discussion.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead Modular Data Center Development: Own the product vision, architecture, and roadmap for modular data center solutions including rack-level, liquid/air-cooled compute, and structural designs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a key liaison across engineering, global logistics, supply chain, GTM (go-to-market), finance, and legal to ensure cohesive execution and alignment with business goals.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a cross-disciplinary team, setting priorities and managing deliverables across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and integration engineering.
- Global Program Management: Drive large-scale projects across multiple regions and timelines; oversee risk management, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Technical Oversight: Maintain a working knowledge of compute technologies (liquid and air cooling), chipsets, rack integration, and data center operational requirements.
- Cost Structure Management: Analyze and manage the product segment’s cost structure, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
- Compliance & Trade: Ensure product designs and deployments meet global compliance requirements; collaborate with legal and supply chain on import/export regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate plans, progress, and challenges to executive leadership and cross-functional teams; influence decisions across business units.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in product leadership or hardware program management in data center or infrastructure environments
- Deep understanding of modular data center components and deployments
- Strong technical knowledge in compute systems, cooling technologies (liquid and air), chipsets, and rack architecture
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives on a global scale
- Experience managing logistics and supply chains for hardware deployments
- Demonstrated project management skills and fluency with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project
- Financial acumen; ability to analyze and manage product cost structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence technical and non-technical audiences
- Basic understanding of compliance and import/export requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or other project management certification
- Experience in high-scale data center construction or operations
- Familiarity with international logistics and trade compliance practices
- Background in managing outsourced or contract manufacturing
Compensation
For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed below, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).

Compensation
$144,000 - $180,000 USD
