Role Overview 

Armada is seeking a technically accomplished Head of Industry Transformation to architect and advance high-impact edge and AI-driven transformation programs across North America. You will leverage deep technical knowledge in edge computing, IoT/OT, artificial intelligence, and cloud-native architectures to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions—powering operational excellence and competitive advantage for clients in energy, mining, maritime, and telecommunications.  

Key Responsibilities 

Technical Transformation Leadership 

  • Develop and steer the technical strategy for AI and edge-driven industry transformation across North America, aligning with both client objectives and local infrastructure realities. 
  • Act as principal technical advisor to enterprise customers, translating business needs into robust technical architectures with AEP (Armada Edge Platform) 
  • Establish technical roadmaps for deploying AI/ML, autonomous operations, and real-time analytics at the edge. 

Solution Architecture & Implementation 

  • Oversee architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale, distributed systems—including secure data ingestion, edge AI inference, and predictive analytics in constrained remote environments. 
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams in the end-to-end delivery of transformation projects—ensuring technical milestones align with business KPIs and client success criteria. 
  • Evaluate and optimize the integration of Armada platforms with customer OT, IT, and cloud environments. 

AI/ML and Edge Innovation 

  • Guide the customization and deployment of AI/ML models for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, computer vision, and autonomous workflows tailored to industry-specific requirements. 
  • Champion engineering best practices around CI/CD, MLOps, model lifecycle management, performance benchmarking, and data governance in complex environments. 

Technical Change Enablement 

  • Drive technical enablement and upskilling for client engineering and operations teams to accelerate solution adoption and maximize ROI. 
  • Develop and deliver technical workshops, architecture design sessions, and technical documentation to ensure seamless solution handover and scaling. 

Market-Specific Adaptation 

  • Navigate regional compliance, cybersecurity, and interoperability standards, ensuring all solution components are robust and fit-for-purpose in diverse North American environments. 
  • Support partner initiatives, local talent pipelines, and knowledge-sharing initiatives for sustainable technical capability in the region. 

Leadership & Technical Team Development 

  • Mentor and grow Armada’s technical teams in North America, advocating for innovation, quality, and engineering excellence. 
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and technical rigor consistent with Armada’s mission and values. 

Key Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in hands-on technical leadership roles such as Principal Engineer, or Technical Program Director, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML, edge, or IoT systems. 
  • Direct experience architecting and implementing distributed edge intelligence solutions (e.g., streaming analytics, low-latency decision-making, edge-to-cloud integration) in one or more verticals: energy, maritime, manufacturing, etc. 
  • Strong background in: 
  • AI/ML frameworks 
  • Edge/embedded platforms 
  • Cloud and hybrid architectures 
  • OT/IT/IoT interfaces & industrial protocols 
  • Network and cybersecurity fundamentals 
  • Demonstrated success leading large, technically complex digital transformation or automation programs at regional scale. 
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement: able to converse fluently with client CXOs, enterprise architects, field engineers, and developers. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Compensation & Benefits

For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the on-target earnings salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications.  In addition to the salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).

$320,000 - $480,000 USD
