AI Factory, Value Engineer

United States (Remote)

About the Company

Armada is a full-stack edge infrastructure company delivering compute, connectivity, and sovereign AI/ML to some of the world’s most remote places. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Armada’s solutions are deployed in over 60 countries globally for organizations ranging from energy to defense.

With over $200 million in funding, Armada is backed by top investors such as Microsoft (M12), Founders Fund, and has strategic partnerships including Starlink, Skydio, and NVIDIA. We are looking for the most brilliant minds in the world to join us.

Working at Armada means taking ownership, driving autonomy, and delivering impact. You’ll tackle challenges that haven’t been solved before and help build something transformative from the ground up. What you do here will not only define your career but help further Armada’s mission to bridge the digital divide for customers around the world.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Value Engineer to sit at the intersection of finance, infrastructure, and AI compute economics. This role owns the financial narrative of Leviathan—quantifying value, modeling outcomes, and helping customers, partners, and internal stakeholders understand why Leviathan wins.

This is not a back‑office modeling role. You will be customer‑facing, thesis‑driven, and commercially accountable, acting as a trusted financial partner to hyperscalers, neo‑clouds, energy companies, investors, and public‑sector stakeholders.

Think: investment‑committee‑ready rigor + founder‑level storytelling.

Location

Flexible / US‑based preferred. Travel required for customers, partners, and deployment sites

About Leviathan

Leviathan is a megawatt‑scale, liquid‑cooled modular data center that deploys in weeks, delivers 10× the compute density of Triton, and remains mobile and upgradeable. Like every Galleon system, Leviathan runs on the Armada Edge Platform (AEP).

Our research identifies 6+ GW of stranded U.S. energy, power that can be converted into AI compute immediately. Deploying Leviathan at these sites transforms wasted energy into frontier‑grade compute capacity, representing a potential $400B annual GDP unlock and ~2 percentage points of incremental U.S. economic growth by 2030.

To accelerate adoption, Galleon is pioneering CORE Zones (Centers of Optimized Resources and Edge Intelligence), aligning surplus power, mobile compute, tax incentives, and public‑private partnerships. Initial deployments are underway with Fidelis New Energy (WV) and Bakken Energy (ND), converting under‑utilized natural gas into productive AI workloads.

What You’ll Do

Financial & Economic Modeling

  • Build and own full‑stack financial models for Leviathan deployments, including:
    • CapEx / OpEx profiles
    • IRR, NPV, payback, and sensitivity analyses
    • Energy cost structures (gas, stranded power, grid arbitrage)
    • Compute economics ($/TFLOP, $/rack, density‑driven margins)
  • Model customer ROI across use cases (AI training, inference, sovereign compute, edge workloads).
  • Quantify macro‑level impacts (regional GDP uplift, employment, tax base expansion) to support CORE Zones and public‑sector discussions.

Customer‑Facing Value Engineering

  • Partner with Sales, BD, and leadership to present Leviathan’s business case to:
    • Hyperscalers & neo‑clouds
    • Energy producers & utilities
    • Data center operators
    • Government and economic‑development stakeholders
  • Tailor financial narratives to different buyers, CFOs, CIOs, infrastructure leads, and investment committees.
  • Become a trusted economic advisor, not just a modeler.

Champion Building & Deal Support

  •  Help identify and cultivate financial champions inside customer organizations.
  • Support commercial structuring, pricing, and deal terms using data‑driven analysis.
  • Prepare materials suitable for investment committees, boards, and public‑private initiatives.
  • Research & Thought Leadership
  • Operate with a research‑analyst mindset:
    • Track AI compute trends, neo‑cloud economics, energy markets, and data‑center innovation.
    • Pressure‑test assumptions and update models as the market evolves.
    • Contribute to whitepapers, internal memos, and executive‑level briefings that shape company strategy.

Ideal Background

We’re less focused on titles and more on pattern recognition. Strong candidates will resemble:

  • Investment Banking or Private Equity background, especially:
    • Infrastructure, energy, data centers, or industrials
    • Experience presenting deals to investment committees
  • Research‑driven analysts (e.g., equity research, independent tech research) with deep curiosity about AI, semiconductors, or compute infrastructure
  • Experience with:
    • Data center platforms
    • Neo‑cloud operators
    • Energy‑adjacent infrastructure companies

Skills & Attributes

  • Expert‑level financial modeling (comfort building models from scratch)
  • Ability to translate technical infrastructure into business & financial outcomes
  • Confident, customer‑ready communicator, you can walk a CFO through a model without hiding behind spreadsheets
  • Strong written clarity, able to produce investor‑grade decks and memos
  • High intellectual honesty; comfortable challenging assumptions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, bias toward action, ownership, and iteration

Why This Role Matters

The Value Engineer is critical to turning Leviathan from a breakthrough technology into scaled economic reality. You will shape how customers, investors, and policymakers understand the value of mobile, energy‑aligned AI compute—and help define a new category at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and intelligence.

If you want to help unlock stranded power, accelerate AI deployment, and build the financial blueprint for the next era of compute, this role puts you at the center of it.

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
