What You'll Do
The Program Manager at ARC has a critical role in bridging external customer interactions pre and post-contract award with internal product and engineering team workflows. You are a leader and a facilitator with deep technical acumen with IoT products. You possess a working knowledge of government acquisitions and up to ACAT level program management. You are comfortable working directly with HW and SW engineering teams and other various stakeholders within the customer ecosystem (e.g., end users, government PMs, SETAs, KOs). You thrive in an ambiguous environment and are passionate about ensuring ARC's programs maintain cost, schedule, performance, on-time delivery of capabilities and upsell for future on contract growth. You will lead program readiness and execution with ARC's customers, working closely with internal cross-functional teams and engaging with external customers.
Role Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to understand their requirements and expectations
- Own the program readiness and execution for ARC's contracts within defense customers
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate client requirements into details program specification and ensure they align with ARC's product roadmap
- Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues that may arise during the program to ensure successful delivery
- Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on program status, milestones and deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement in program management processes
- Shape on-contract growth activities for upsell and extension of program activities
- Own the customer relationship and expand programs in size and scope
- Own the development and writing of proposals that the company will execute to ensure alignment with the company vision and product roadmap
- Develop, write and submit high quality contract deliverable documents
Relevant Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in tech program management, preferably within IoT, defense, or law enforcement sectors
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion
- Experience working with product and engineering teams to develop detailed program requirements and specifications
- Possesses a tailorable approach to Major Capability Acquisition from material solution analysis through the milestones process
- Deep understanding of defense acquisition regulations, authorities, compliance, federal budget cycles and processes
- Experience with government software procurement and licensing best practices and associated ATO or access government networks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to defense and law enforcement technologies
- Proficiency in program management tools and software (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
- Existing or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
This position will require access to restricted information and facilities protected under U.S. laws and regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
