What You'll Do
As ARC’s Head of Growth, you will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies across three key areas: sales, government affairs, and marketing. You will drive growth by developing and managing ARC’s Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, focusing on research and development contracts and future direct-to-unit sales within DoD accounts such as the US Army, SOCOM, and Combatant Commands.
You will also oversee ARC’s legislative and government affairs initiatives, working with consultants and stakeholders to align policy efforts with ARC’s long-term growth objectives. Additionally, you will manage ARC’s external communications and brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement through marketing and content development.
This is a senior role requiring a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can navigate the complexities of defense procurement, build meaningful relationships with mission partners, and position ARC as a trusted innovator in defense technology.
Role Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Drive Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy targeting DoD accounts to maximize revenue and ensure on-contract growth
- Pipeline Management: Build and sustain a robust sales pipeline, maintaining consistent deal flow and predictable conversion rates
- Close High-Impact Deals: Navigate complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts to secure high-value agreements that align with ARC’s objectives
- Engage with Customers: Cultivate relationships with senior decision-makers and mission partners to strengthen ARC’s position in the defense sector
Government Affairs and Legislative Strategy
- Oversee Advocacy Efforts: Lead ARC’s legislative initiatives to secure support for key programs and ensure alignment with defense modernization priorities
- Policy Guidance: Work with consultants and contractors to navigate legislative processes and funding opportunities that support ARC’s growth
Marketing and Communications
- Brand Management: Develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance ARC’s reputation, including website content, branding, and thought leadership
- Content Development: Ensure that marketing materials effectively support ARC’s sales and advocacy efforts
Collaboration and Market Insights
- Influence Product Development: Act as a conduit between customers and ARC’s product team, delivering insights to inform the product roadmap
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and emerging opportunities, ensuring ARC stays ahead of customer needs and competitive pressures
Relevant Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a senior strategy, sales, or growth roles, focused on the defense market
- Deep understanding of defense procurement processes, including rapid prototyping, POM cycles, and direct-to-unit sales
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful Go-To-Market strategies
- Track record of securing high-value contracts in a quota-carrying or sales-focused supervisory role
- Strong grasp of DoD modernization priorities and their impact on procurement strategies
- Ability to manage CRM systems and multi-year sales pipelines effectively
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
- Familiarity with complementary technologies and mission partners within the defense ecosystem
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and to mentor AEs, program managers, and other roles on a robust and effective sales strategy
- Prior military experience, preferably combat arms MOS, is a plus
- Possess an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
