The role:
The Armis Resident Engineer is a full-time Armis resource that will be embedded as part of the customer team. The Armis Resident Engineer works closely with the customer to accelerate the time to value by being a dedicated resource in the planning, deploying, and operationalizing of the Armis platform. Once operationalized, our engineer will help with a continuous improvement plan by managing the platform on a daily basis and ensuring that new features are adopted and integrated into your operational plans. They will also ensure that product value is being delivered by managing all reporting, dashboards, policies, and overall configuration of the Armis platform. The Armis Resident Engineer will provide expert support, analysis and research into complex problems. This is a highly technical, hands-on role and will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the products and solutions deployed within the Customer's network.
What You'll Do:
- Work in collaboration with the Armis TAM and Armis CEM to refine and translate complex requirements and execute on best practice solutions
- Ensure operational uptime of customer platform by performing health checks
- Ensure the customer deployments and configurations align with business use cases as defined by the TAM and drive Armis adoption and implementation plans
- Learn and understand the customer’s business requirements and the threat landscape that is most applicable to their industry’s vertical sector
- Build trusted relationships with relevant, technical users and manage stakeholders within assigned accounts
- Provide technical subject matter expertise where applicable according to the Resident Engineer area(s) of proficiency
- Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity.
- Provide technology/product training and intellectual property material as needed
- Effectively use moderate to sophisticated lab setups to recreate and solve problems.
- Submit complete and accurate bug reports in your area of expertise.
- Determine root cause and resolution for previously unknown problems.
- Interact across TAM/CSM/Sales teams and development teams at peer level.
- Analyze logs and events from the solution and provide threat analysis reports, providing input and direction as applicable.
- Build custom security policies and application signatures; Interact with the Armis TAMs to troubleshoot and diagnose cases
- Mitigate web-based threats in a timely manner;
- Support direct manager in managing business needs through weekly reports and Quarterly Business Reviews
What we expect…
- 5+ years experience as full-time onsite Resident Engineer highly preferred or as a Professional Services Engineer, Consultant, or IT/Operations Engineering
- 5+ years experience in a combination of the following; designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and coordinating Unified Communications products, devices, solutions, and technologies for small, medium, large and/or enterprise businesses
- 3+ years experience working in Security/IT/Healthcare/ICT/Commercial sectors
- Applied knowledge of the Networking industry, products, and protocols
- Track record of successful problem solving and delivering known solutions with a high level of customer happiness.
- Experience analyzing, use and configuring medium to enterprise networks
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt driven environment and provide mentorship to other members of the work group
- Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 4 to 8 years related experience.
Technical Skills
- B.S in IT, IS, CS, MIS, (or equivalent degree) and/or relevant industry qualifications (CISSP, Security +,CEH) desired
- Understanding of API based security and compliance standards
- Familiarity/Experience in Cyber Security i.e Endpoint, SOAR, SIEM
- Linux Operating System basic operation and troubleshooting (i.e. Redhat Linux / CentOS)
- Security Certificates, SSL, TLS
- Python, C, C++
- Networking (LAN/WAN, Routing/Switching protocols, Network Security)
