Location: This will be an Office-based role in Bucharest (3-4 days a week)

The Role:

As the Director of our Marketing Centre of Excellence (MCoE), you will be responsible for building, leading, and managing the MCoE team in Romania. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Chief of Staff, you will oversee the day-to-day management of a diverse group of marketing professionals, ensuring they operate efficiently and are fully aligned with the strategic goals of the global marketing organization.

What you’ll do:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Build, lead, and manage a high-performing MCoE team, including senior managers, managers, and individual contributors.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the MCoE.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring their growth and engagement.
  • Promote strong alignment between the MCoE and the global marketing organization.

Strategic Alignment and Operational Excellence:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the MCoE and the global marketing team, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Implement best practices to optimize processes, workflows, and deliverables across the MCoE.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key marketing initiatives to meet global objectives.
  • Ensure all MCoE activities align with the broader goals of the global marketing organization.

Performance Management:

  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of the MCoE team.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the CMO and Marketing Chief of Staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the team’s productivity and impact.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with global marketing leaders, including the Vice President of Demand Generation, regional marketing directors, and other senior stakeholders, to ensure the MCoE delivers maximum value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CMO and Marketing Chief of Staff on matters related to the MCoE.

Local Operations Management:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the MCoE, including resource allocation, budget oversight, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and Armis policies.
  • Act as an ambassador for Armis’ values and culture within the Romanian team.

 

What we expect:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in marketing, program management, or related roles within a global organization.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams across diverse functions.
  • Experience in establishing or managing marketing hubs, centers of excellence, or distributed teams is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of marketing operations, campaign management, analytics, and content creation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing talent.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, SaaS, or B2B technology industries is a strong advantage.
