
Deployment Project Manager

A Deployment Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of software and hardware deployments, ensuring they are completed smoothly, on time, and to the customer’s specifications. This role focuses on leading, executing, and monitoring post-sales implementations, managing and controlling the deployment process, and working with various internal teams and customers for a successful deployment outcome while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Execution:
Work with Architects and Deployment Engineers to develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and deliverables for large and complex deployment projects. - Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication. - Communication:
Ensure all internal and customer stakeholders understand and have visibility to the project plans, and are kept up to date with daily updates and weekly status reports. Ensure slack channel reporting is crisp, relevant, and identifies roadblocks and next steps. - Accountability:
Keep the project forward momentum. Hold all parties accountable for completing tasks on time. - Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the deployment process and escalate up to management. Be ready and willing to raise the alarm. - Stakeholder Management:
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure deployments meet quality and compliance standards, including data and deployment validation. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of the results. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline deployment processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years conducting successful software project management in a technical environment. Cyber security preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- String familiarity with software and hardware deployment processes and technologies.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and building strong customer relationships.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams both pre and post sales, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Knows how to gain consensus.
- Knows how to mobilize and motivate customer participation.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues and address challenges that arise within the customer space.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to make tough calls.
Salary range guidance for this position is: $130,000- $140,00.00
