• Seasonal Pool Resort Security Officer

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. 
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for conducting hourly tours, ensuring the premises is secure. Access control when checking in and out guests to property, and checking all entrances and exits. 

Armorous is seeking a professional, customer-service-oriented Security Officer for a seasonal Pool Resort Security assignment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hospitality-focused environment while maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for guests and residents.

The officer will be stationed in the pool area and responsible for monitoring access, enforcing pool rules, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests.

This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to confidently enforce policies while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Shifts:
Currently Saturdays only: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Expected to transition into a regular Friday–Sunday schedule as the summer season and warmer weather approach.

Compensation:

$21.00 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Monitor pool entrance and verify wristbands for authorized access
• Ensure no glassware is brought into or near the pool area
• Enforce pool opening and closing times
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and community members
• Address concerns and policy violations professionally and respectfully
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times

Security Guard Qualifications:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance
  • i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
  • 32-hour continuing education certificates.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
