We are hiring a Site Lead Security Officer for our assignment at the Port of Oakland.

This is not a standard officer role. As Site Lead, you are the on-site point of contact for both the client and the Armorous team.
You hold the standard yourself and you hold others to it. You communicate clearly, document everything, and keep the operation running without having to be asked twice.

New hires who join fully BSIS compliant are eligible for a $100 hiring bonus.
Full compliance includes your valid BSIS Guard Card, 8-hour initial training certificate, and 32-hour continuing education certificate.

What You Will Do
•    Check in and check out all visitors to the port, following established access control procedures
•    Conduct regular security tours and complete hourly activity logs
•    Secure the area and respond to access violations or concerns professionally
•    Serve as the primary point of communication between Armorous and the client on your shift
•    Ensure all officers assigned to the site are completing their duties as assigned
•    Support new hire training at the site as needed
•    Assist with coverage needs including early-in, hold-over, and call-off coverage
•    Document incidents, maintenance concerns, and security observations in writing

What This Role Looks Like
•    This is a solo shift. Officers are present at the port 24/7 across multiple shifts
•    This role requires significant standing and time on your feet throughout the shift
•    You will be on site alone during your shift and are expected to work independently
•    This is an unarmed role

Required Qualifications
•    Valid BSIS Security Guard Registration (California)
•    Current BSIS compliance, including 8-hour initial training certificate and 32-hour continuing education certificate
•    Minimum 2 years of prior security experience
•    Demonstrated leadership experience, either in a formal supervisory role or as a senior officer
•    Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
•    Strong written communication skills for accurate activity log and incident report completion
•    Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift
•    Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications
•    TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Officers without a TWIC at hire must obtain one as a condition of continued assignment
•    Experience communicating directly with clients or supervisors as a site contact
•    Prior experience supporting new hire training or onboarding

Site Add-On
Officers assigned to the Port operate in a federally regulated maritime environment. This assignment requires awareness of access control standards,
attention to visitor credentialing, and a working understanding of security requirements in a port setting.
Officers are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times given the client-facing nature of the role.

Site leads at this location carry additional responsibility for team accountability, shift continuity, and client communication.
If you have worked in a secured industrial, transportation, or government-adjacent environment, that experience is directly relevant here.
