About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to lead ARMRA’s accounting, tax, and audit operations. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all the company’s accounting functions and supporting financial planning efforts. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and has strong experience in eCommerce, wholesale, or CPG.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger management, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and close packages in accordance with GAAP and IRS.
- Manage and maintain financial systems (primarily NetSuite), ensuring data accuracy, process automation, and system optimization for close processes.
- Coordinate and manage audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams, including Operations, Sales, and Marketing to accurately adhere to revenue recognition, accrual based accounting, and expense matching principles.
- Assist in preparation of month close reports, board decks, and executive-level analyses with Finance.
- Identify and implement process improvements, internal controls, and best practices to support scalability and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in accounting roles, with increasing responsibility—preferably in eCommerce, wholesale, or CPG industries.
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite is required; experience with QuickBooks and Brex is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of success in high-growth or startup environments.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial data into strategic insights.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- CPA preferred but not required.
