VP of Marketing
Arqit builds quantum-safe encryption designed to protect critical data against both current cyber threats and the future impact of quantum computing. Our technology is used in environments where security failure is not an option. Government, defence, critical infrastructure, financial systems and regulated industries increasingly need cryptography that will remain secure for decades, not years.
As the market develops and our products continue to gain prominence, we have a new opportunity for a visionary marketer with technical acumen, a growth-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced cybersecurity landscape. Reporting to the CRO, the VP of Marketing will guide and manage an established team, while developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation and customer engagement in a fast-evolving high-tech industry.

Overview
The VP of Marketing will drive our global marketing programmes, ensuring the company and our solutions are clearly positioned in a competitive and fast-moving market. This role encompasses strategic planning, demand generation, brand development and awareness, and digital innovation. You will be expected to be hands-on with the team, supporting and delivering the programmes where necessary.
What you’ll be doing
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with business goals and market opportunities, positions Arqit in a targeted, competitive and differentiated way, and emphasizes our solutions in enterprise, government, defence and critical infrastructure sectors for clients globally.
- High Quality Demand Generation and Growth: Drive integrated lead generation programs using the full marketing mix, which will include digital, content, events, and partner channels. Optimize the marketing funnel to accelerate measurable and qualified pipeline growth and customer acquisition.
- Marketing Budget: Oversight and day-to-day management of the budget, working with the CRO and team to align budget allocation with priorities. Experience with MDF helpful but not essential.
- Data driven: Ensure that all marketing programmes are measured and optimised for impact and ROI, be able to analyse the data and make recommendations for more efficient future programmes. Be able to demonstrate the value that Marketing is delivering to business growth.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high performing marketing team capable of executing multi-channel marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment. Create a high-energy, outcomes-driven culture
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure Marketing is operating as a core driver of growth in close alignment with sales, customer success, and product teams to take highly-targeted go-to-market execution.
- Optimise Marketing technology: Ensure marketing technology and tools are implemented and helping the team deliver more efficiently and effectively; constantly review and evaluate use of new technology
The team includes members responsible for:
- Content Management and Messaging, Digital & Demand Gen, Events, PR, Community, Creative, Website, US Field marketing and Internal Comms
What we’re looking for
- A commercially-focused, hands on leader to lead and scale our Marketing function, bringing both strategic thinking and practical execution skills, willing and able to operate at both strategic and execution levels
- Proven experience as a senior marketing leader for B2B enterprise customers in the technology sector
- Extensive knowledge of demand generation, digital marketing, and content marketing in a B2B, and preferably also a B2G environment.
- Demonstrated success in high-growth markets, scaling marketing teams, and increasing market share.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in designing and delivering global marketing campaigns
- Proven track record in marketing to enterprise leadership, with an understanding of complex enterprise buying cycles
- Experience working with key partners to deliver co-branded GTM programmes that accelerate demand
- Experience partnering closely with Sales to drive alignment, accountability, and predictable revenue growth
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with metrics, attribution and use of data to improve performance, efficiency, and ROI
- Comfortable with AI, and learning new technologies, tools, or processes
