Director (Strategy & Data/AI Transformation – CPG, Luxury & Retail)

Main Responsibilities
As a Director in our Lausanne office, you will play a pivotal leadership role in expanding Artefact’s footprint across CPG, Luxury & Retail. You’ll combine strategic thinking, sector insight, and commercial drive to deliver measurable business impact for some of the world’s most iconic brands.
You will:
· Drive Business Growth: Own and grow a portfolio of leading consumer and luxury clients (~CHF/EUR 2M+ annually). Lead business development, identify new opportunities, and turn strategic conversations into long-term partnerships.
· Deliver Data & AI Transformation: Lead multiple high-impact programs — from AI-driven marketing and personalization to advanced analytics for forecasting, pricing, and sustainability — ensuring measurable value and strategic impact for clients.
· Inspire & Lead Teams: Manage and mentor consulting teams, ensuring excellence in delivery while developing the next generation of strategy leaders.
· Shape Thought Leadership: Contribute to Artefact’s global CPG, luxury & retail community through whitepapers, events, and market insights on how data and AI are redefining consumer engagement.
· Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with Artefact’s data, engineering, and media experts to design integrated, end-to-end solutions for clients.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially driven, entrepreneurial leader who combines strategic acumen with deep client development and team leadership experience.
· Experience: Minimum 8 years in strategy consulting, with a focus on CPG, luxury, or retail sectors.
· Business Development: Proven record of building and managing client portfolios of CHF/EUR 2M+ annually.
· Industry Insight: Deep understanding of consumer dynamics, digital commerce, and brand transformation.
· Strategic Thinking: Structured problem-solver able to translate data-driven insights into executive-level strategies.
· Leadership: Track record in managing multiple teams and coaching senior consultants to promotion.
· Languages: Fluency in French and English; German is a plus.
· Education: Master’s in Business, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent preferred.
· Eligibility: Authorized to work in Switzerland.
