What you will be doing 

The VP of Analytics Engineering will be a pivotal leader in shaping and executing our analytics and insights strategy, ensuring our clients receive data-driven insights and validated metrics to make critical decisions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive the strategic direction and implementation of executive reporting, insights, and cutting-edge analytics solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will lead efforts in bringing the right data to every stage of client engagement, from initial strategy and ideation to implementation and performance measurement, with a strong focus on establishing robust data quality and structure, and building the technical aptitude of the team. Key tasks include: 

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of data analysts and consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and client-centric innovation, with an emphasis on developing strong technical aptitude and expertise in data analysis and modeling.
  •  Inform and help execute the talent acquisition and development strategy of our Analytical Engineers, both onshore and offshore to maintain the highest levels of educational and professional backgrounds
  • Drive the development of executive-facing data analytics products and solutions, providing our clients' C-suite with the data and insights they need to run their businesses effectively, ensuring high data quality and well-structured data foundations.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights and serve as a key partner to stakeholders in making strategic decisions for our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional client teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure a consistent and accurate view of complex business dynamics, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and consistency across all sources.
  • Champion and scale a self-service analytics model, empowering client business teams with the tools and data literacy needed to make informed decisions independently, supported by the technical proficiency of the analytics team.
  • Evaluate and select technologies and data tools to support the delivery of high-quality analytics solutions for clients, with a focus on leveraging advanced analytical techniques.
  • Establish analytics best practices, ensuring effective data governance, quality, and security standards are maintained across client engagements, emphasizing proactive data quality checks and robust data governance frameworks.
  • Own the analytics roadmap for client projects, defining strategic priorities and aligning resource allocation to maximize business impact, including strategic investments in technical skill development and advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Build and model a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and innovation within the analytics practice, promoting continuous improvement in data analysis and modeling practices.

What we are looking for 

We are seeking a visionary executive and practice leader who is poised to drive massive organizational impact, accelerate our clients' digital and data transformation journeys, and strategically position the firm at the forefront of innovation and disruption in analytics engineering. As a foundational leader responsible for building our U.S. Analytics Engineering practice from the ground up, we require a VP who is a natural self-starter, decisive, highly collaborative, and possesses an insatiable drive for excellence and continuous learning.You will be empowered with the resources to succeed and will come armed with the following:

  • Executive Leadership: 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics or a related technical field, including experience in a senior leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Team Building & Mentorship: Proven success in building, leading, and mentoring high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams (Analysts, Analytics Engineers, Consultants), fostering a culture of collaboration, client-centricity, and continuous technical skill development (onshore and offshore).
  • Talent Strategy: Demonstrated experience in shaping and executing talent acquisition, professional development, and educational strategies for Analytics and Data Engineering roles.
  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Extensive experience in owning and driving the analytics roadmap for complex client projects, including defining strategic priorities and aligning resource allocation.
  • Executive Reporting & Communication: Proven ability to drive the development and delivery of executive-facing data analytics products, translating complex data findings into clear, actionable, strategic insights for C-suite clients.
  • Consulting & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and experience serving as a key partner to senior client stakeholders across functions (Marketing, Sales, Finance) to drive strategic business decisions.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Deep expertise in establishing and scaling analytics best practices, with a focus on data governance, data quality standards, security, integrity, and proactive data quality checks across multiple client engagements.
  • Technology Evaluation: Significant experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing technologies and data tools to deliver high-quality analytics solutions, leveraging advanced analytical and modeling techniques.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Demonstrated success in championing and scaling self-service analytics models, empowering client business teams with the necessary tools, data literacy, and technical support.
  • Cultural Leadership: Track record of building and modeling a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement in data analysis and modeling practices within a professional organization.

The estimated base compensation for this role starts at $240,000. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, this role is eligible for competitive benefits.
