We're seeking a Senior Manager, HUB Clinical Care to join our dynamic team at AscellaHealth, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for patients with complex, chronic conditions and rare diseases. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team and champion a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership to define market priorities, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care. This is also a rare chance to build something from the ground up. As the driver of our new Site of Care program, you'll spearhead efforts to transition patients from hospital-based medication administration to home-based care, expanding access and improving outcomes as new therapies are approved. This would be an ideal role for someone who provides clinical services, such as a Nurse (RN), Pharmacist, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.

This is a hybrid role based at our AscellaHealth headquarters in Berwyn, PA that requires in-office work three (3) days per week.

About the role

Critical parts of the job/Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care.
  • Promote a culture centered on empathy, accountability, and advocacy for patients with complex and chronic conditions.
  • Drive performance through monitoring key metrics, improving workflows, and ensuring timely access to therapy.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between clients and pharmacy operations.
  • Ensure team members provide clear, supportive communication tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex patient situations to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Ensure all patient interactions comply with HIPAA and specialty pharmacy regulatory standards.
  • Perform all responsibilities efficiently and safely.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned, remaining adaptable and flexible in work schedules and assignments according to departmental and organizational requirements.
  • Represent AscellaHealth in a manner that conveys professionalism, upholding confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organization needs.

Specialty Pharmacy Program Focus

  • Oversee specialty pharmacy operations to ensure timely therapy access, medication adherence, financial navigation, and coordinated care for patients with complex conditions.
  • Lead benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance navigation to remove barriers to therapy access.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists, providers, and payers to ensure seamless communication, documentation accuracy, and continuity of care.

Site of Care Focus

  • Oversee and lead a team responsible for coordinating the transition of prescriptions from hospital settings to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy to ensure patients receive therapy in a home or ambulatory setting without interruption.
  • Identify and resolve access barriers to ensure patients receive therapy in the most appropriate and convenient site of care.
  • Monitor care transition timelines, prescription routing accuracy, and quality standards to safeguard patient safety and satisfaction.

Partnering with leadership – set market priorities and develop a cohesive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Driving clinical performance and organizational growth – monitoring individual clinician outcomes, owning KPIs and quality assurance metrics, and analyzing patient care trends and operational data, all while contributing to strategic direction through initiatives that support both short and long-term company objectives.


Skills, Education & Abilities

Essential Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead large, complex contract negotiations, manage vendor agreements, and secure competitive terms and discounts in alignment with organizational goals
  • Proven ability to manage multi-channel pharmacy networks with measurable outcomes in costs, access, and margin
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across internal stakeholders and external vendor partners
  • Proficient in using contract management, pricing, and data analysis systems; ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy economics, pharmacy reimbursement methodologies (AWP based, MAC, ASP) claim adjudication and network operations
  • Strong ability to interpret financial, operational, and claims data to identify trends, assess vendor performance, and support strategic planning
  • Effective in identifying root causes of vendor or operational issues, developing solutions, and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments, present findings to leadership, and represent the organization externally
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track deliverables, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), contract management platforms, and data analytics tools used for vendor and performance management
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Must be able to effectively multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Healthcare Business, or related field is required.
  • Active licensure as Pharmacist, RN, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or other clinically related licensure.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical management, managed care contracting, or related experience within the healthcare or payer industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with managing direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with regulatory standards for pharmacy networks (URAC, ACHC, 340B, state pharmacy requirements is helpful)
