The Role
As a key member of the tax team, this position will prepare complex tax compliance projects for closely held multi-tiered entities, multi-state entities, high net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts. This role can be achieved in a hybrid (San Diego, CA) or fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex tax returns for closely held multi-tiered entities, multi-state entities, high net worth individuals, estates, and trusts.
- Research tax matters using firm’s online research tools.
- Remain current on tax issues and changes in the tax laws.
- Provide a timely, complete, accurate, and well documented tax return for review.
- Interact directly with clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a certificate in accounting from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of increasing levels of responsibility in tax with a regional or large local CPA firm.
- Must excel at preparation of complex compliance projects for closely held multi-tiered entities, multi-state entities, trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals.
- Must have an analytical approach and understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to identify tax issues as they arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- CPA or actively pursuing your CPA license.
- Strong understanding of tax technology. ProSystem/Engagement experience and experience working in a paperless environment is a plus.
- Ability to interact well with others in a team environment, as well as being able to work independently.

The pay range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
