JOB DESCRIPTION:
Homebot is seeking a highly-driven, hands-on, and strategy-oriented Vice President of Finance to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. As the most senior finance leader in the organization, this role is accountable for financial strategy, accounting and controls, planning, reporting, and operational rigor across the business, while proactively partnering with leadership to achieve the company’s strategic objectives and annual operating goals.
The Vice President of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s next phase of growth—building scalable financial infrastructure, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the organization is positioned for long-term value creation. This leader must balance strategic vision with operational execution, bringing both board-level credibility and hands-on leadership to a lean, high-impact finance function.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:
- Serve as a core member of the executive team and trusted financial partner to the CEO.
- Own company-wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting and FP&A teams to drive performance and engagement.
- Transform financial and operational data into clear insights, analysis, and board-ready reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to evaluate performance and guide investment decisions.
- Act as a strategic thought partner on pricing, margin optimization, AI-driven cost efficiency, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Oversee monthly close, GAAP compliance, external audit/tax relationships, equity administration, and commission planning.
- Prepare the organization for a future exit by supporting diligence readiness, financial transparency, and M&A processes.
- Balance financial discipline with operational pragmatism in a fast-paced, growth-oriented SaaS environment.
We’re Excited About You Because:
- You bring deep experience leading finance functions within SaaS or similarly complex, data-driven businesses, with strong fluency in recurring revenue models and SaaS metrics.
- You translate financial performance into clear, actionable business narratives that inform executive decision-making.
- You possess strong accounting fundamentals, GAAP expertise, and sound judgment around internal controls, reporting integrity, and compliance.
- You have supported or led M&A and corporate transactions, including diligence, financial modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
- You have a proven track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing finance teams.
- You operate effectively in lean, growth-stage, and/or private equity-backed environments, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- You communicate with clarity and confidence, influencing effectively across cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders.
- You demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- You responsibly leverage modern AI productivity tools to enhance analysis and decision-making while maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
