Senior Engineering Manager, Application Architect

Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Application Engineering Manager / Application Development Lead to oversee our application development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of commercial client ready tools. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our technological solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-8 years of experience in developing end-to-end applications with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in full-stack development, particularly with technologies such as React JS, Node JS, Postgres, and SQL.
• Exposure to cloud native development environments (AWS & Azure).
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful software development lifecycle.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
• Expertise in implementing industry standard development practices and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to perform under pressure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and developers in building high-quality, scalable, and robust applications.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from conception to deployment, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Mentor in technical problem solving and expertise to the team.
• Take part and lead new solutions / technical feasibility discussions with consulting / client teams.
• Foster collaboration among team members and other departments to ensure that applications are aligned with business goals and user needs.
• Implement best practices for full-stack development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate into development practices and enhance productivity.
• Ensure that all software developed complies with industry standard security protocols and data protection regulations.
