Role Overview

The Competitive Response Manager plays a critical role in driving pursuit success across Advisory by leading the development of strategic, high-impact responses to complex RFPs and RFIs. This role ensures proposals are aligned to client priorities, win themes, and differentiated messaging, and coordinates input across the Innovation & Growth function, Vertical Practice Area leaders, and delivery teams to increase win probability.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Competitive Response Process & Best Practices

  • Develops and manages a prioritization matrix, standardized tools/templates, and process overview to ensure a consistent approach to RFP/RFI intake through to submission and post-mortem review
  • Develops and maintains standardized response documentation, including process maps, response templates, and best practice guides.
  • Defines and communicates the key roles and responsibilities involved in the response process (e.g., Sales Exec, Solutions Lead, Practice SMEs, Delivery, Enablement), ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Continuously improves response quality by analyzing pursuit outcomes, gathering stakeholder feedback, and embedding lessons learned into future efforts.

Response Coordination

  • Serves as the primary point of coordination for prioritized competitive pursuits, aligning timelines, inputs, and approval steps across functional teams.
  • Works closely with Innovation & Growth, Practice leaders, Delivery, and Client Solutions to ensure response strategy and solution framing are aligned.
  • Partners with Sales Enablement and Marketing to ensure proposal content reflects curated content, best practice standards, and the latest and greatest assets.

Content Curation (in Partnership with Operations)

  • Curates and maintains a central repository of reusable proposal content, including past performance, case studies, credentials, and objection handling materials.
  • Integrates competitive intelligence and pursuit data into content updates to ensure continued relevance and differentiation.
  • Provide feedback to Solutions teams on positioning across Advisory offerings.
  • Collaborate with Client Solutions, Pricing, Marketing, and Vertical Practice Area teams to ensure proposal content reflects current offerings and strategic priorities.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in proposal development, RFP/RFI response management, or strategic communications within a consulting or life sciences environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on persuasive and client-centric messaging.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and tailor content to specific client needs.
  • Familiarity with competitive intelligence practices and content management systems.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in an Inizio Advisory Consulting or similar service delivery role is preferred, to support consistency in client deliverables and alignment with established practices
