About the role 

As a Project Manager (PM), you will be responsible for leading the successful development of assigned publications projects. You will ensure that projects run as smoothly as possible, are within budget, are delivered on time and according to Client requirements. The PM will spend the majority of their time communicating with the internal team, ensuring departmental resources understand deliverables and schedules, coordinating and maintaining timelines, and managing approved processes.  

 

Here's what you'll be doing: 

  • Manage integrated projects from initial request through final delivery 
  • Develop clear and thorough project timelines in the appropriate PM software, detailing internal tasks, client reviews, and approvals 
  • Contribute to the development of project briefs with milestone client timelines and project scope assumptions 
  • Set up and lead necessary touchpoints such as project status meetings, financial reviews tracking actual hours to budgeted ones, etc. 
  • Understand client review and approval processes and ensure the project plans accommodates required review cycles 
  • Manage projects with a holistic approach to ensure multi-project workstreams make sense in terms of timing and priority 
  • Monitor the progress of each project, effectively handle any challenges that may arise, and informing the team leads of revisions and changes 
  • Apply knowledge of the medical communications, commercial, and publications  business to projects that include, but are not limited to: strategic training materials, educational content development, internal training materials, congress materials, digital assets, etc. 
  • Assist in developing company processes 
  • Flag when work is going out of scope and ensure resolution 
  • Ensure vendor invoices are approved in a timely manner 
  • Interact with clients, as needed, to relay project plan, timing, potential risks, etc. with account team 
  • Support new business efforts and organic business development by providing project plans and project estimates in accordance with client needs 
  • Lead/participate in internal meetings as appropriate 

 

About you: 

  • Previous publications project management experience, some account management experience a must 
  • A great communicator (verbal and written) with strong attention to detail 
  • Experience presenting in a business setting 
  • Can present and lead both client and internal meetings as it relates to project planning and execution 
  • Experience in working with teams (remote and cross-functional) to deliver on projects 
  • Ability to adjust style of communication (written and verbal) to fit the situation and individuals 
  • Proven ability to think on your feet, identify potential issues and work with your teams and management to solve

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.

Compensation

$85,000 - $100,000 USD
