Senior Medical Writer – Vaccines Publications

Location: Hybrid / Remote (UK-based)

Reports to: Senior Scientific Team Director

We're growing our team and looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our vaccines publications account — an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific communications that inspire public health understanding and progress.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Medical Writer, you'll help deliver high-quality scientific publications that shape how the latest vaccines research and data are shared with the global scientific community.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of vaccine programmes, developing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and publication plans that align with client strategy and uphold the highest scientific and ethical standards.

You'll collaborate with clients, KOL's, and cross-functional teams — combining scientific rigour with creativity to ensure every deliverable has impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of peer-reviewed publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations) for global vaccine programmes.
  • Interpret complex clinical and epidemiological data to create clear, accurate, and compelling scientific narratives.
  • Partner with clients and authors throughout the publication process, providing scientific and strategic input.
  • Ensure all content meets GPP and ICMJE guidelines and internal quality standards.
  • Contribute to publication planning, data communication strategy, and congress activities.
  • Review and mentor junior writers, supporting a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.

About You

  • Minimum degree in a life science discipline.
  • Several years' experience in medical communications, with a focus on scientific publications.
  • Experience in vaccinology, infectious diseases, or immunology..
  • Strong communicator with client interaction and project management abilities.
  • Collaborative, proactive, with a passion for communicating science that matters.
