Technician, Plumbing Service
The Plumbing Service Specialist will be crucial in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and sales performance. This position demands technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Problem Analysis: Identify plumbing issues and determine the necessary tools and materials for repair.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare written estimates of work costs for customers.
- Installation and Repair: Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, considering the existing infrastructure.
- Tool Usage: Utilize a variety of plumbing tools and equipment effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Locate and repair pipe and pipeline systems using various methods.
- Leak Diagnosis: Identify and repair leaks from unknown sources.
- Drain Cleaning: Perform thorough drain cleaning tasks.
- Code Adherence: Understand and follow building codes for optimal work procedures.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary forms, reports, logs, and records detailing services performed and recommendations made.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety policies, established procedures, and quality standards.
- Sales Goals: Meet sales goals and metrics through effective customer interaction and service.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of residential plumbing experience.
- Solid understanding of plumbing concepts, water distribution, and disposal systems.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and capable of promoting a positive company image.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support all areas of the business.
- Analytical, focused on quality, and results-driven.
- Physically capable of handling workload requirements.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings and physical examinations.
